Softball
Get in the swing of this popular stateside sport with our softball set, which contains a 71cm bat and a 81cm bat so that all ages can play the game. Use the mats to mark out three bases, the home plate, the pitchers plate and the spot where the next batters should queue up.
How to play

Two teams take turns batting and fielding.

The pitcher throws underarm to the batter.

The batter hits the ball and runs around four bases to score a run.

Fielders try to get batters out by catching the ball, tagging them, or touching a base with the ball before the runner arrives.

Each team has three outs per inning, then the teams swap roles.

The team with the most runs at the end wins.

Even though softball is pitched underhand, batters have less time to react than in baseball because the pitcher is closer, making hitting just as demanding for the brain and reflexes.
